Spring Love Harukaze Music Festival in Tokyo 2020

We got you covered when it comes to checking out all the pink-tree goodness when it comes to cherry blossom viewing parties in Tokyo. But if you want to level-up your hanami experience this year, you can’t go wrong with the free Spring Love Harukaze concert on the weekend of March 28th and 29th.

Shibuya Ward’s Yoyogi Park is a prime venue for hanami parties every year so why not have a free concert right along with it? The stage area between the park and NHK Hall will have local acts from all around Japan, and there will be booths with local artists and craftsmen selling their wares along with food trucks and booths. It’s been labeled “a 21st-century hippie event” since there are a lot of naturists, ecological, and free-spirited types in attendance; Last year I treated myself to a few pints of organic beer and bought a raw linen hoodie from one of the vendors, if that gives you an idea of the vibe.

It’s a great event to break the cold monotony of winter and get out and enjoy the community of Greater Tokyo warming up to springtime. And you can’t beat the price: FREE!
