One of Kobe city center’s most popular bars for expats, Sally’s is a traditional sports bar with championship pool tables as well as several big screens showing sports, dart boards, DJs spinning tunes and high-speed wifi access. Sally’s usually very busy on the weekends with Friday and Saturday night open until 5:00 a.m.

This “inter-store” is an Internet cafe with an assortment of additional facilities that includes pool tables, table tennis, darts, massage chairs, and online gaming. Located on the Okuradani Interchange and open 24 hours, it is more popular with gamers, but the pool tables are of good quality and are in a separate sporting area along with table tennis and darts. Users have access to soft drinks, comics, and magazines. To use Jiyu Kukan’s facilities, you need to become a member.

Situated in the heart of the bustling Sannomiya area, Garage Paradise is a late-night music venue where you can take a break in between live sets and DJs playing the best in R&B, jazz, soul, and dance music to shoot some pool on their table located at the far side of the room just yards from the stage. Food and a good range of drinks are served until closing time at 3:00 a.m.

If it’s a longer game of snooker that you fancy, you can check out Longpot Snooker Club, which has two excellent quality full-size snooker tables. Located in Higashinada Ward in the southeastern part of the city, this is the only licensed snooker club in Kobe and is open daily between 7:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
