Every year, the HOPE International Development Agency organizes charity dinners across Japan to help provide access and opportunities to those in developing countries. The Agency has selected a theme of “from water to self-reliance” this year and is eager to help with a plethora of projects brimming with potential like helping with access to higher education among ethnic minorities in the Philippines, improving on agriculture and school access in Cambodia, and helping women in Ethiopia have access to business creation and clean water.
Attendees to the dinner can expect to see video reports on the lives being positively impacted by the Agency’s efforts, helping to bring context into how donations turn into actual actions. There will also be both silent and live auctions and a raffle featuring an exciting grand prize for attendees to take part in. Over the evening, expect to also enjoy live music and ethnic dances alongside world-class meals from some of the best hotels and venues in Japan.
The event times and dates are as follows:
Place | Date | Venue |
---|---|---|
Nagoya | 2024 March 8 (Fri) | Hilton Nagoya |
Kansai | 2024 May 24 (Fri) | Conrad Osaka |
Tokyo | 2024 September 27 (Fri) | Tokyo American Club |
Please see below for the event brochure. Both the English and Japanese version of the brochure can be accessed, so please scroll until you arrive at your desired language. On page seven of either version, there is a QR code link for applying for either sponsorship or participation tickets.
This is a fantastic event that has been a helping bridge between Japan and the developing world. Since 2001, the charity dinner has been a pillar of charity in the local Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya communities. We would absolutely be thrilled to see you there!
